How can I locate the incident ID when I have only the student name?
Query the student on the black box screen. Click the Incident button beside the black box. Highlight the incident and click Detail. You will see the Incident ID in the upper left part of the screen. I have no idea what Incident Ext. Code means, but it has not proved helpful for anything so far.
In order to make changes to the incident, don't do it here. Go to School>Incident Reporting and query the incident. You can only make changes in this component, not through the Incident button.
How can I delete an Incident?
Each school user should maintain in Incident deletion log. Your name is tied to any incidents you delete. There are many valid reasons for deleting an incident, and you should document the Incident Code, the date and the reason for deletion. Keep this record for at least 3 years.

If the student is no longer at your school, instead of going to School Incident List go to All Incident List. You should be able to query the student there.
How do I print a letter?
You will need to make sure letters have been entered. For them to display on the discipline screen, they must be letter type Suspension. Click the ? beside Letter Type and choose the letter. Letters provided by the district have a D prefix, while letters provide by the school have an S prefix. Click the printer button. What if I try to print a letter and it tells me to run the extract?
Sometimes, when you try to print the OSS or ISS letter, it will tell you that you must run an extract.If that happens, do the following:
Go out the door until you get to the black box screen.
Click on the Reports icon.
Click Specify Extract Criteria.Click Clear Extract Criteria.Click Run Extract.This process puts all enrolled students in your extract.
Go back to the black box screen.
Go back to the incident for which you want to print the letter (querying works on this screen)
Click Members Involved>Detail, then choose the letter and click the printer icon.
